On December 19, 2016, President Barack Obama commuted the sentence of Jeffrey Gray, who was convicted in the District of Delaware in 2008 of conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine, attempt to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, money laundering, and felon in possession of a firearm. Gray's original sentence of 480 months imprisonment was reduced by the commutation.
