Summary

On January 17, 2017, President Barack Obama commuted the sentence of Christopher Almaguer, who was convicted in 2005 in the Northern District of Texas of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, distribution of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine (two counts), possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and causing another to engage in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity. Almaguer's original sentence of 420 months imprisonment and 60 months supervised release was reduced by the commutation.
